Day
1 - Sydney to Barrington Tops
Depart Sydney and drive to the beautiful Barrington Tops,
exploring the sub-tropical rainforest of the Barrington
River on a guided interpretive walk. Take in the unique
surroundings, learning about the flora and fauna of the
area. In the afternoon, arrive at the Barrington River Lodge,
an awesome property located in remote bush land. Enjoy the
wildlife and scenery, or participate in activities such
as horse riding or the unique night river kayaking for which
this property is famous (both at own expense).
Day
2 - Barrington Tops to Surf Camp
Today we head to our secluded surf camp, located within
walking distance to spectacular white sandy beaches on the
northern NSW coast. Here we hook up with the crew from
Mojo Surf (some of Australia's best surf instructors)
whose mission is to get you standing on a board by the end
of this trip! You will start with a theory lesson on surfing
and then it's straight out to the beach to get you on a
board. If surfing isn't for you perhaps sun bake on the
crystal white sands or take a walk around the beautiful
headland. When your afternoon of surfing or chilling out
on the beach is complete, hang out and have dinner back
at the Mojo Beach House. (B D)

After breakfast, hit the beach again for your morning surf
lesson. By now you should have the basic surf techniques
sorted and some aspiring surfers in the group will be turning
at the base of clean breaking waves by the end of this lesson!
Everyone who participates in surf school will be given a
progressive surf certificate before heading north along
the coast to Byron Bay. (B)

The afternoon is free to soak up the chilled out atmosphere
of Byron Bay. Overnight accommodation is included (meals

We head inland to spend time in Nimbin, a picturesque, alternative
village with a colourful 'hippy' past! View a history of
Nimbin in a converted butter factory turned into a movie
theatre to get an insight into this 'weird' little town,
Candle Factory, Hemp Embassy, and other points of interest.
Next we return to the coast, exploring the highlights as
we travel through Surfers Paradise and the famous 40km stretch
of golden beaches known as the Gold Coast for a swim enroute
to Brisbane. Overnight Brisbane. (meals at own expense).

Day
6 - Brisbane to Hervey Bay
This morning we take a short break in the resort township
of Noosa Heads before arriving at Rainbow Beach; a vibrant

in a cultural demonstration, learning about the didgeridoo,
boomerang and spear throwing. After a few hours at Rainbow
Beach we head to Hervey Bay. Overnight Hervey Bay (B)
Days
7 & 8 : 2 day tour to Fraser Island
Spend the next two days exploring Fraser Island on a ranger

Return to Hervey Bay for overnight stay.
(Day 7: BLD, Day 8: BL)

9 - Hervey Bay to Kroombit Cattle Station
We travel through 'sugar cane' country this morning, passing
through Bundaberg and then head inland through 'cattle country'

living with the chance to ride a mechanical bull and the
opportunity to participate in other farm activities. Tonight
you will taste a traditional camp oven dinner. (D)

10 - Kroombit Cattle Station to Airlie Beach
After breakfast, we travel through Rockhampton as we head
to the small sugar township of Sarina where we try our hand

beautiful Airlie Beach. Overnight Airlie Beach (B)
